August Speaker Series: The Healing Properties of Tea
Tea’s healing properties have been known for thousands of years. In this modern age, dozens of scientific studies point to tea’s ability to improve health. Among others, tea has been shown to increase metabolism, improve mental functioning and mood, prevent diabetes, boost immune function, cardiovascular health and help prevent cancer. Kate Pfeiffer, Master Nutrition Therapist will talk about the benefits of green, black, white and oolong teas and how to use them in your own life to increase your health and vitality. Kate Pfeiffer is a Master Nutrition Therapist at Vitality Through Nutrition in Broomfield. She got her degree at Denver’s Nutrition Therapy Institute and now helps individuals get their health back on track by using food as medicine. She specializes in helping those with depression, migraines, allergies, fatigue and thyroid problems. Kate also writes for the online publication The Examiner.
