Recent Articles about Tea and Health
There have been a number of articles popping up online recently showing the benefits of tea on health. In the tea industry, there is quite a bit of hype regarding tea and its health benefits, some accurate and some not. Here at Seven Cups we try to stay on top of the research that is coming out so we can tell you just which claims are true and which may not be. With that in mind, we wanted to share a couple recent articles.
I had been told by a chiropractor that all the tea I was drinking was actually dehydrating me and that I should stick to just water. Being a teahouse owner, that probably wasn’t going to happen. Now I can share this article with him, stating that not only does tea hydrate a person as well as water, but that the antioxidants in tea are incredibly helpful for us, making tea, according to some, “healthier than water.”
Another article, reported by the World Tea News, shows that tea can have an effect on the prevention and/or treatment of prostate cancer. Interestingly, the article also noted that there was no danger to the liver for high levels of EGCG, green tea’s most researched cancer-fighting component.
We will continue to post relevant articles from time to time on the health benefits of tea. We hope you find this helpful.
