    August Speaker Series: More Calligraphy!

Our June Calligraphy workshop was such a hit and we had such an extensive waiting list that we have decided to offer it again.  Harrison Xinshi Tu will be teaching the same class again, focusing on the history of calligraphy, its various styles, and the basics of this wonderful and ancient art form.  You’ll leave with ink-stained hands and hopefully a masterpiece of calligraphy, or at least a fun experience.

The class is on Wednesday, August 19 at 7:oo p.m.  Because of the materials included, there is a $10 charge for this event.  Reservations can be made at the teahouse.  Seating is very limited and we expect this event to sell out, so please reserve early.

Mr. Tu has become a devoted proponent of cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the East and the West.  Since 1994, he has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese American Post, a Chinese-language newspaper available to the entire Rocky Mountain region.  He has taught Chinese calligraphy and painting at Naropa University for the past twelve years, and has received a number of awards over the years.
